Professor Veliz teaches courses in marketing, economics, and statistics. Professor Veliz brings a wealth of consumer technology industry experience to the business program. He has worked in product management, marketing analytics and strategic planning with such companies as Pioneer Electronics, Denso Wireless, Iomega, and Leap Wireless.
A native Californian, Veliz holds an MBA from UC Irvine, a BS in Management Science (Quantitative Economics) from UC San Diego, and has studied at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His personal interests include practicing budo (classical samurai martial arts), all types of music, and studying jazz piano.
